Earth Motorcars is excited to offer This beautifully maintained 1976 Porsche 911S Targa is a true classic, showing just 77,000 original miles and believed to be a matching numbers car. Owned by the current caretaker since 2010, this California-born 911 has also spent time in Arizona and Texas, benefitting from dry climates. Refinished in its iconic Guards Red under previous ownership, the car has been carefully preserved, with only 3,000 miles driven since 2011. Powered by a lively 2.7-liter flat-six engine (could benifit from an engine reseal as it does have some leaks) paired with a 5-speed manual transmission, this Targa delivers the Porsche driving experience enthusiasts cherish. The exterior features the iconic Targa roof design, characterized by its removable roof panel and signature stainless steel roll bar. While the car has been beautifully repainted in Guards Red, a few small paint imperfections are present. The factory data plate was replaced with a metal VIN plate from the California DMV during the repaint. The body design includes impact bumpers giving it a distinctive and classic appearance. It features chrome-plated window surrounds, door handles, and headlight rings, along with color-matched exterior mirrors.Exterior Features:- Guards Red repaint - Classic Targa roof with removable canvas panel - Targa top in great condition with original storage case- Chrome-plated window surrounds, door handles, and headlight rings- Impact bumpers with signature black bellows- 15-inch Fuchs chrome/black wheels- 205/60 Michelin Pilot tires- 4-wheel disc brakes- Fog lights mounted under front bumperThis 911's timeless design is defined by the Targa's distinctive silhouette and era-specific raised impact bumpers, making it instantly recognizable to Porsche admirers.Engine and Performance:2.7-liter air-cooled flat-six, 175 horsepower, 176 lb-ft torque5-speed manual transmission with new sport shifter for improved precisionRear-wheel driveReally clean and maintained engine bayInterior:Updated black double leather interior with matching black carpetFront and back dash in great conditionClassic Porsche analog gauge cluster with centrally positioned tachometerSport seats for enhanced comfort and support+2 rear seats with period-correct seat beltsChrome interior accents, including window surrounds and door handlesHeat and defrost functions in working orderPioneer receiverPolk Audio door speakersPorsche floor mats with red logoClean frunk space with new black carpet installedThe interior retains its original, driver-focused layout, offering a clean and well-preserved cabin.Collectibility and Ownership:This particular 911S is believed to be part of the Ferry's Signature Edition series, limited to just 200 units.
